Gradgrad allows university students and graduates to establish relationships with employers while progressing through their studies by creating an online profile. Employers and recruiters are able to search for students and post graduate jobs.

Kopernik Consulting developed gradgrad with a solution that would need to cater for different sets of users including students, employers & recruiters and careers services departments.

The solution

Kopernik Consulting provided a solution that combined and utilised the strengths of contrasting methodologies. This involved the use of 'plan-driven' methodolgies for the initial release to have an architecture that was easily extensible and more agile methodologies in subsequent releases. The agile methods supported iterative releases that added functionality and business value in shorter timeframes and built on top of a solid extensible architecture.

Requirements were aligned in vertical tiers that were served with sets of services. Business users are able to maintain the system with the use of customer relationship management and content management system integration.

Some of the key areas that provided for an elegant solution are listed below;
